Terms and Conditions
The promoter of the FSB Big Giveaway is: National Federation of Self-Employed and Small Businesses Limited, Sir Frank Whittle Way, Blackpool Business Park, Blackpool FY4 2FE (“FSB”).
Information on how to enter and the prize are contained in these Terms and Conditions. By entering this prize draw, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions, you should not enter.


1. Promoter and Sponsors
1.1 This FSB Big Giveaway is sponsored by FSB and HSBC UK. No other person or organisation is responsible for, administers, sponsors, or endorses it.


2. How to Enter
2.1 To enter, participants must complete and submit the entry form during the promotional period and opt-in when prompted.
2.2 Each eligible participant will receive one entry only. Duplicate entries will be disqualified.
2.3 No purchase is necessary to enter or win.


3. Eligibility
3.1 The competition is open to individuals who:
• Are legal residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland);
• Are aged 18 years or over at the time of entry; and
• Are either self-employed or operate as a small business owner within the United Kingdom.

3.2 For the purposes of this prize draw:
• A “small business owner” is defined as an individual who owns or operates a business that is independently owned, is not part of a larger group, and has fewer than 249 employees.
• A “self-employed” person is defined as an individual who is in business for themselves and is not employed under a contract of employment. This includes sole traders and business partners who are responsible for managing the risks and rewards of their business, pay their own tax and National Insurance to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), and do not receive a regular salary from an employer.

3.3 Entrants may be required to provide reasonable evidence of their eligibility, such as a business website, Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR), Companies House registration (if applicable), or other documentation requested by the Promoter.
3.4 Entries submitted by individuals who do not meet the eligibility criteria will be disqualified. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold or withdraw the prize if eligibility cannot be verified.
3.5 Employees of the Promoter, its group companies (including FSB Insurance Service), their immediate families, household members, or anyone professionally connected with the administration of the prize draw are not eligible to enter.


4. Prize
4.1 The prize is £10,000 cash. No alternative prize is available.
4.2 In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value.
4.3 The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable.


5. Promotional Period
5.1 This prize draw begins at 2:00pm on 8 April 2025 and closes at 11:59pm on 30 April 2025. Entries received outside of this period will not be considered.


6. Winner Selection and Notification
6.1 One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries within 14 days of the closing date.
6.2 The winner will be notified by email using the details provided in the entry form. Only the winner will be contacted personally.
6.3 The winner must respond within 30 days of being notified to claim the prize. If the winner does not respond in time, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner may be drawn.


7. Prize Fulfilment
7.1 The winner will receive their prize no later than 30 days after confirming acceptance and providing any necessary verification details.
7.2 The winner is responsible for checking and settling any personal tax liabilities that may arise as a result of accepting the prize.


8. Data Protection and Marketing
8.1 By entering the prize draw, participants agree that their personal data may be shared with and used by FSB Insurance Service (FSBIS) for the purpose of contacting them with offers, products and services. Participants will have the opportunity to opt out of receiving marketing communications in each message sent.
8.2 Any personal data collected in connection with this prize draw will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s: Privacy Policy.
8.3 Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to administer the prize draw and in accordance with ASA guidelines.


9. General
9.1 No responsibility will be accepted for lost, delayed, incomplete, or corrupted entries due to computer malfunction, network failure, or any other reason.
9.2 The surname and county of the winner will be available one month after the closing date by emailing customerservices@fsb.org.uk. If you object to your surname and county being made available, please inform us when claiming your prize.
9.3 If a redraw is required, the new winner's details will be made available on request as soon as reasonably possible.
9.4 In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Promoter is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
9.5 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend this prize draw and these Terms and Conditions at any time if circumstances arise outside of its control.
9.6 Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents, or distributors will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in this prize draw or from the acceptance of any prize, except where caused by their negligence. This does not affect your statutory rights.
9.7 The prize draw and these Terms and Conditions are governed by English law, and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
