It’s been thrilling to see so many businesses in the South East enthusiastically take part in our awards and the sheer scale and diversity of those who entered is a testimony to the vitality of the small business community in the area. Faringdon

Save My Knickers has a mission is to revolutionise periods, empower women and reduce waste. They are disrupting and transforming the period care experience with an innovative stain remover that works like magic on everything from knickers and jeans to pyjamas and bed sheets. Their goal is to reduce waste and create a positive shift in how women experience their periods.

Expansion and Growth Award

Brighton

Entrepreneur, Ryan Jackson, 24, began his journey as a sole trader from his bedroom in 2017, selling re-loved trainers on Depop under the handle OG Kicks. His first brick-and-mortar store opened in Brighton in March 2020 and quickly established itself as one of the South's most respected retailers of sneakers and streetwear. Riding on the success of community values, fair prices and in-depth market knowledge, a second brick-and-mortar store opened in London's famous Soho district in May 2023.The business also has a thriving eCommerce store that saw 2 million visitors in 2023 alone.

Grommets Ltd are a fourth-generation British rubber moulding business that makes grommets and associated mouldings for a wide market including transport, engineering, medical, green industries, and military both in the UK and abroad. Grommets Ltd was started in 1993 by Sid Wells in Horsham.

Micro Business Award

UK Growth Coach embodies business excellence within the SME market and has seen substantial business and retained client growth. Providing clients with education to advance their capability as business owners, UK Growth Coach help businesses to boost profitability, create new employment and enhance satisfaction within the business.

Eggchaser was founded by a passionate young, dyslexic & dyspraxic rugby player Arun Watkins. Using his experience of playing in professional & international rugby from age 16 he has created a business is a one stop rugby shop that supports the foundation and infrastructure of men’s and women’s elite squads including hosting camps and skills clinics, an Academy and rugby sevens tournaments.

Community Award

Maidstone

Computers4Charity reduces digital poverty across the UK by refurbishing surplus IT to extend its lifespan and redistribute it to people in need to reduce their social isolation and improve their access to online education, employment, benefits and health services. Run by volunteers who have been refurbishing IT since 1996 and provides work experience to those who are not in employment, education or training., who may be neuro diverse.

Founded in 2020 Book Brilliance Publishing (BBP) is a small, fast-growing independent publishing house in Epsom Downs, Surrey.
