CCU International (CCUI) is a pioneering startup revolutionising carbon capture with its next generation, proprietary technology that can not only capture but also refine carbon dioxide directly from industry chimney, flue, and exhaust stacks, and utilise the captured CO2 back into industry or convert to valued commodities like aggregates for construction material, sustainable aviation fuels and surfactants that go into household consumer products.

9Trees was set up in 2019 to support the climate response, working towards economy, ecology, biodiversity, wellbeing and community. 9Trees works with landowners planting, maintaining and conserving native trees. 9Trees offer skills and experiences to volunteers and supporters who find outdoor environments beneficial for health and wellbeing.

Stubcroft is an eco-friendly camping and caravan park focussing on great customer service putting long term sustainable and ethical policies at the heart of their business and becoming one of the UK’s leading eco-leisure businesses.

Franchise Business Award

Mid and East Lothian, Scotland

Mairi is the owner of Boogie Beat Music and Movement Edinburgh, Mid and East Lothian. With her team of three, they provide engaging music, movement classes and workshops in the community for families, schools, nurseries and for children’s Birthday parties. They also run Intergenerational workshops in care homes and day centres. Mairi has been running the business for just over one year having moved from being a Primary School teacher and in this first year she has grown Boogie Beats presence in her area significantly and already has big plans for year two!

Family Business Award

Nottingham, East Midlands

TEKshop is a small family-run business, that specialises in the refurbishment and resale of consumer electronics. Owner Tiva Eftekhar runs the business alongside his parents and sister. TEKshop grew from a bedroom business made up of entirely family to now six years later emerging as a thriving company of fourteen IT professionals, dealing with some of the biggest electronics distributors in the country.

HJH Commercial Consultants is a leader in Quantity Surveying and Project Management within the renewable energy, Utilities and Civil Engineering Sector. HJH Commercial Consultants has transformed from a modest start-up with a single employee to a thriving enterprise boasting a team of 20 dedicated team. Their journey is not just a story of growth; it's a testament to innovation, commitment, social values and the relentless pursuit of excellence in the commercial consulting and contracting arena.

Young Entrepreneur Award

Stowmarket, East of England

Samantha Cage and Ocala Healthcare support people with complex care needs and has quickly become a market leader in this space in Suffolk. Samantha Cage launched Ocala Healthcare in November 2017 and continued to grow the business, before being invited to operate as a Care Quality Commission provider by the Local Authority in August 2020. Having self-funded the business at launch Ocala Healthcare has delivered high turnover and growth alongside five star reviews.

The business works closely with our clients to understand their unique requirements, ensuring that the completed van not only meets but exceeds their expectations. Widnes, North West

Nightstop Communities North-West CIC (NCNW) is a multi-award winning non-for-profit organisation embedded within its local community. They provide temporary emergency supported accommodation for up to 2 years, with properties spanning across Halton, Warrington, and the Liverpool City Region. They help to house individuals aged 18+ experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming so.
